Salutations to the Fivefold Expanse — Reality - Consciousness Himself - Śrī Viṣṇu
All glory to Aniruddha,
the Unrestrainable,
manifest as Reality in its fullness of experience —
who, in His love affair with the Dawn of Life, Uṣā,
is captured for a time
by sense-perception, Bāṇa.
Unto that Viṣṇu — the Viśvarūpa,
whose form is the Universe,
who is my body and all its senses and sense-objects,
the animated Self of All —
I adore.
All love to Pradyumna —
that splendorous One,
the light that precedes the dawn,
the Illuminator — once hidden in the belly of a fish.
Life Himself, the animator, the force of life in all bodies,
transferred by the little swimming sperms of all beings —
He who is the seed of desire,
the Life-Self of all life and the living —
unto that Viṣṇu, I adore.
All respect to Saṅkarṣaṇa —
the Holder of All,
Cognizance Himself, Being —
the brilliance of Self-illumination
which reveals the One and the All
as the Supreme Light,
the white radiance,
the ocean of brilliance,
Sadā-Śiva, Param-Jyoti, the Soul of All.
“I am, therefore I think — I think, therefore I am.”
Unto that Viṣṇu,
intoxicated by the bliss-wine of His own being,
who lovingly expands as the Infinity Serpent,
holding all forever in the twinkle of His endless eyes,
who takes no steps and performs no actions,
absolutely impartial —
the Abode, the bed, Existence Himself — I adore.
O Lord — grant me strength and wisdom.
All peace and prosperity to Vāsudeva —
the primeval Illuminator,
the illuminator of illuminators,
the Light of Lights,
replete with all potential,
the Great Beyond,
the Self beyond Self,
in whom all rests:
the Void-Self, the Darkness, the Great Crunch,
without boundary or definition,
Truth beyond truth, God of Gods.
Unto that Viṣṇu,
who is the resting place of deep sleep,
the space of no-thing and no-where,
in which all skies rest —
Paravyoma,
the abode of Being and Being Himself.
Described as Śūnya and Aśūnya —
the Void that is completely full —
the Soul of Infinity — I adore.
All glory, all love, all respect,
all peace and prosperity,
and all my self I offer
to He who is the Fifth State.
O Kṛṣṇa — beyond the beyond —
Samādhi Himself,
Heart of the Heart,
Bliss of Being,
the inner Child of Reality,
blissful in spontaneous, curious Being and becoming,
the Essential Self of All.
O Beloved of Your Potencies,
playing the flute of creation with Your life-breath,
dancing the dance of Rasa -Sweetness
Engaged always in Lila:
the play of Life and Living —
Love and Loving,
Lover and Beloved,
in the pure rays of the Moon,
the stainless mind of the pure Soul.
O Kṛṣṇa — take me.
Hold me in Your arms.
Look me deep in the eyes—
recognition meeting recognition —
and kiss me.
I am Yours always,
and in my Heart of Hearts,
You are forever mine.
